Rat anti Mouse TIM-1 antibody, clone RMT1-10 recognizes mouse Tim-1 (T-cell immunoglobulin mucin 1), a cell surface glycoprotein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It was first identified as the hepatitis A virus cellular receptor (HAVCR) and is highly expressed in the liver (isoform Tim-1a) and kidneys (isoform Tim-1b).
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with 1.0 mL distilled water.
Target Information
CD365, also known as T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain 1 (Tim-1), is a type I surface glycoprotein with an extracellular N-terminal IgV-like domain and mucin domain, and a short cytoplasmic tail.
The endogenous ligand for CD365 is Tim-4. CD365 functions as a receptor or co-receptor for several viruses, including hepatitis A and C, Ebola, Marburg, Dengue, Zika, West Nile, and Japanese encephalitis viruses.
Polymorphisms within the human CD365 gene (HAVCR1) are associated with infection susceptibility and disease severity. CD365 is also implicated in T-cell co-stimulation and is primarily expressed in epithelial cells, as well as in A549, 769-P, and Caco-2 cell lines.
Soluble forms of CD365 can be generated by metalloproteinase-mediated proteolytic cleavage.
