Product Specific Information

Description:
The JES6-5H4 antibody reacts with mouse interleukin-2 (IL-2), a 17 kDa T cell growth factor and major immunoregulatory cytokine.

Applications Reported:
This antibody is reported for use in intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of stimulated mouse splenocytes using the Intracellular Fixation & Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product #88-8824-00). Recommended usage ≤ 0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
APC-eFluor 780 emits at 780 nm and is excited with the Red laser (633–647 nm). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light during storage and after staining.

Fixation:
Samples may be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Excitation/Emission:
633–647 nm / 780 nm (Red Laser)

Target Information

Interleukin 2 (IL-2):
IL-2 is an immunomodulatory cytokine essential for proliferation of activated T cells and differentiation of B cells, NK cells, monocytes, and macrophages. It signals through the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), a heterotrimeric complex sharing the gamma chain with IL-4 and IL-7 receptors. Disruption of IL-2–like genes in mice induces colitis-like disease, highlighting its key role in immune regulation.
