Target Information
CD4 항원은 MHC class II 분자의 인식에 관여하며 HIV의 공동수용체 역할을 합니다. 주로 T helper 세포로 알려진 T-림프구 아형에서 발현되며, 단핵구, 대식세포, 수지상세포 등에서도 발현될 수 있습니다. 조직 수준에서는 흉선, 림프절, 편도, 비장뿐 아니라 뇌, 장, 기타 비림프조직에서도 검출됩니다. CD4는 T세포 수용체 복합체 및 단백질 티로신 키나아제 Lck과의 결합을 통해 T세포 활성화 초기 단계를 개시하거나 증폭시키는 기능을 합니다. 또한 중추신경계의 감염 및 면역매개 질환에서 직접적인 신경 손상의 매개자로 작용할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자에서 다수의 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 확인되었습니다 (RefSeq, July 2017).
