Target Information

FLT3 is a tyrosine protein kinase belonging to the growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase family. Activation occurs upon binding of the fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand, leading to receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation. The activated receptor triggers downstream signaling pathways involved in apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells in bone marrow. Constitutive activation due to mutations is associated with acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
