Target Information
FLT3 is a tyrosine protein kinase belonging to the growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase family. Upon ligand binding, the receptor forms homodimers and undergoes autophosphorylation, activating signaling pathways involved in apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells in bone marrow. Mutations causing constitutive activation of this receptor are associated with acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
