Target Information
BMPR1B (also known as ALK6 or CDw293) is a transmembrane serine/threonine kinase and a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptor family, closely related to activin receptors ACVR1 and ACVR2.
It plays a key role in endochondral bone formation and embryogenesis. BMPR1B is expressed in normal and cancerous prostate tissues and has relevance in endocrine therapy for prostate cancer.
Additionally, BMPR1B receptor trafficking is implicated in FOP pathogenesis and human T-cell differentiation.
