Product Specific Information

This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in HEK293 cells. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:

  • High specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broad immunoreactivity due to rabbit immune repertoire

This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse CD157/BST1.

Target Information

Bone marrow stromal cell antigen 1 (BST1) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored molecule that facilitates pre-B cell growth. Also known as ADP-ribosyl cyclase 2 and DAMP-1, it is encoded by the BST1 gene in humans. BST1 expression is elevated in bone marrow stromal cell lines derived from patients with rheumatoid arthritis, and may contribute to polyclonal B cell abnormalities observed in the disease.
