Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the liprin family, interacting with LAR family transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatases involved in axon guidance and mammary gland development. Liprins act as scaffolds for recruitment and anchoring of LAR phosphatases. PPFIA2 is closely related to PPFIA1 and its expression is downregulated by androgens in prostate cancer cell lines.
