Target Information
Membrane-associated guanylate kinase with inverted orientation (MAGI3) is a 130 kDa guanylate kinase belonging to a family of multi-PDZ domain-containing guanylate kinases. These proteins are localized to epithelial cell tight junctions. MAGI3 interacts with PTEN/MMAC to modulate AKT/protein kinase B (PKB) activity, positioning PTEN/MMAC phosphatase at subcellular sites involved in cell proliferation and survival. MAGI3 includes an N-terminal guanylate kinase domain, a WW domain, and five PDZ domains.
