Target Information
This gene belongs to the ADAR (adenosine deaminase acting on RNA) family. Proteins encoded by these genes participate in pre-mRNA editing of nuclear transcripts through site-specific adenosine modification. The encoded enzyme, tRNA-specific adenosine deaminase 1 (ADAT1), catalyzes the deamination of adenosine 37 to inosine in eukaryotic tRNA.
