Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum.
Analysis by SDS-PAGE confirmed that the preparation is substantially free of aggregates and shows a banding pattern consistent with purified Rabbit IgG.

Target Information

Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein (~65–67 kDa) that makes up about half of the blood serum protein.
Human serum albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein in human plasma and has a serum half-life of approximately 20 days.
It functions as a carrier for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and helps stabilize extracellular fluid volume.
Albumin binds water, Ca²⁺, Na⁺, K⁺, fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin, and drugs, playing a key role in maintaining colloidal osmotic pressure of blood.
Synthesized in the liver as pre-pro-albumin, the N-terminal peptide is removed before secretion.
