DNAJB12는 분자 샤페론의 ATPase 활성을 조절하는 DNAJ/HSP40 계열 단백질에 속합니다. DNAJ 단백질은 일반적으로 N 말단의 70 아미노산 J 도메인, 글리신/페닐알라닌(G/F) 풍부 영역, 그리고 4개의 zinc finger 유사 motif를 포함한 시스테인 풍부 도메인을 가집니다 (Ohtsuka and Hata, 2000).
