Product Specific Information

This affinity-purified HRP-conjugated Goat Anti-Rat IgG (H+L) antibody shows minimal cross-reactivity to Mouse, Human, Bovine, Horse, and Rabbit serum proteins. It reacts with heavy chains on rat IgG and light chains common to most rat immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins.

Each product contains:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Immunoblotting (WB), immunohistochemical staining, ELISA
Applications Tested: ELISA and solid-phase adsorption verified minimal cross-reactivity.

Suggested Dilution Ranges:

• Immunohistochemistry: 1:500–1:5,000
• ELISA/Western blot (chromogenic): 1:5,000–1:100,000
• Western blot (ECL): 1:10,000–1:200,000

NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for best results.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01)

• Required for optimal staining with NovaFluor conjugates
• Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails/master mixes
• For single-color controls: use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells)

Target Information

Anti-Rat secondary antibodies are affinity-purified with high specificity for rat immunoglobulins. Useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins. Secondary antibodies enable versatile detection systems (HRP, AP, fluorescence) and enhance sensitivity through signal amplification. These antibodies are typically generated by immunizing host animals with pooled rat immunoglobulins and further purified via immunoaffinity chromatography or fragmentation.
