Target Information
Lutheran blood group glycoprotein (BCAM)은 immunoglobulin superfamily에 속하며, 세포외 기질 단백질인 laminin의 수용체로 작용합니다. 이 단백질은 다섯 개의 N-말단 extracellular immunoglobulin domain, 하나의 transmembrane domain, 짧은 C-말단 cytoplasmic tail을 포함합니다.
BCAM은 상피세포암 및 겸상적혈구병에서의 적혈구 혈관폐색에 관여할 수 있습니다. 두 가지 전사 변이체가 존재하며, 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
