Target Information
Lutheran blood group glycoprotein (BCAM)은 immunoglobulin superfamily에 속하며, 세포외 기질 단백질 laminin의 수용체로 작용합니다.
이 단백질은 5개의 N-말단 extracellular immunoglobulin 도메인, 하나의 transmembrane 도메인, 그리고 짧은 C-말단 cytoplasmic tail을 포함합니다.
BCAM은 상피세포 암 및 겸상 적혈구 질환(sickle cell disease)에서 적혈구의 혈관 폐색에 관여할 수 있습니다.
두 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 각각 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
