Product Specific Information
This TULY56 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD56 (Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule, NCAM), a highly glycosylated transmembrane molecule expressed by neurons and NK/NKT cells. It mediates homotypic adhesion of neural cells.
- Epitope recognition: TULY56 does not block CMSSB binding, indicating recognition of different epitopes.
- Fixation compatibility: Performs better after fixation/permeabilization than CMSSB.
- Cross-reactivity: Rhesus macaque.
- Application: Validated for flow cytometry (5 µL/test).
- Emission: 713 nm; Laser: Violet (405 nm).
Note: Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
Light sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (00-5333-54).
Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information
CD56 (NCAM) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin family involved in cell adhesion, migration, axonal growth, and synaptic plasticity. It is expressed on neurons, NK cells, and subsets of T cells. CD56 serves as a neuroendocrine marker with high sensitivity for neuroendocrine tumors and ovarian granulosa cell tumors. Associated diseases include rabies and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasms.
