For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is a key cellular mechanism for degrading abnormal or short-lived proteins.
Ubiquitination involves three enzyme classes:

1. E1 ubiquitin-activating enzymes
2. E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes
3. E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases

UBE3B encodes an E3 ubiquitin ligase that transfers ubiquitin from E2 enzymes to target substrates.
Its longer isoform contains a HECT (homology to E6-AP C-terminus) domain responsible for catalytic activity, while shorter isoforms lacking this domain cannot bind E2 enzymes.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
