Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

This antibody is specific for mouse MIP-3 alpha protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with MIP-3 alpha from mouse sources based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with MIP-3 alpha from other sources has not been determined.

Target Information

Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 alpha (MIP-3alpha), also called CCL20, is expressed in the liver, lungs, lymph nodes, and peripheral blood lymphocytes. MIP-3alpha is strongly upregulated by inflammatory signals and downregulated by the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. MIP-3alpha signals through the G protein-coupled receptor CCR6 and acts as a chemoattractant to lymphocytes and dendritic cells.
