Product Specific Information

Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. Restore with 0.1 mL of deionized water (or equivalent). For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

This antibody is specific for mouse MIP-3α protein. A BLAST analysis indicates 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with MIP-3α from other species has not been determined.

Target Information

Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 alpha (MIP-3α), also called CCL20, is expressed in liver, lungs, lymph nodes, and peripheral blood lymphocytes. MIP-3α is strongly upregulated by inflammatory signals and downregulated by IL-10. It signals through the G protein-coupled receptor CCR6 and acts as a chemoattractant for lymphocytes and dendritic cells.
