Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)는 세포 증식, 분화 및 세포사멸과 관련된 퍼옥시다아제 계열 단백질입니다. 약 50종 이상의 동종 단백질이 존재하며, 활성 부위의 시스테인 잔기와 티올 특이적 항산화 활성을 특징으로 합니다. 포유류 Prx는 6가지 멤버로 구성되어 있으며, typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, 1-Cys Prx로 분류됩니다. Prx VI를 제외한 2-Cys Prx는 thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, NADPH를 이용하는 thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase (TPx) 활성을 가집니다. 분자량은 20–30 kDa이며, Prx I, II, VI는 세포질, Prx III는 미토콘드리아, Prx IV는 ER 및 분비계, Prx V는 퍼옥시좀, 미토콘드리아, 세포질에 분포합니다.
