Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as confirmed by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
CES2 belongs to the carboxylesterase family responsible for hydrolysis or transesterification of various xenobiotics (e.g., cocaine, heroin) and endogenous substrates with ester, thioester, or amide bonds. It may participate in fatty acyl and cholesterol ester metabolism and play a role in the blood-brain barrier system. The encoded protein is a major intestinal enzyme involved in intestinal drug clearance.
