Target Information
Spt3는 S. cerevisiae SAGA 복합체의 구성원으로, RNA polymerase II 의존적 유전자 전사에 필요합니다.
Spt3와 Spt20은 TATA-box binding protein (TBP)을 프로모터에 모집하여 SAGA 의존적 프로모터 결합을 돕습니다.
Spt3 유전자 결실 돌연변이는 포자 형성, 이배체 필라멘트 성장, 단배체 침습 성장에 결함을 일으키며, 효모의 교배 및 발달 경로에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
일부 유전자 프로모터(HO, HIS3, TRP3 등)에서는 TBP 결합을 억제하여 전사를 감소시키며, GCN5에 의해 히스톤 아세틸화를 통해 TBP/TFIIA 복합체 형성이 촉진되어 이 억제 효과가 완화됩니다.
