This antibody detects endogenous AKAP10 protein at a molecular weight of approximately 74 kDa.
Purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) are structurally diverse proteins that bind to the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A (PKA) and localize the holoenzyme to specific regions within the cell.
The AKAP10 gene encodes a dual-specific AKAP that interacts with both type I and type II PKA regulatory subunits. This protein is highly enriched in mitochondria and contains RGS domains as well as a PKA-RII subunit-binding domain.
Its mitochondrial localization and RGS domains suggest important roles in PKA and G protein signal transduction.
