Target Information
Glutathione peroxidases (Gpxs)는 글루타티온을 이용해 과산화수소 및 유기 과산화물의 환원을 촉매하는 단백질로, 다양한 형태의 isoform이 존재합니다.
GPx1은 세포질 및 미토콘드리아에서 발현되는 selenium 의존성 효소로 GPx 계열 중 최초로 발견된 단백질입니다.
GPx2는 위장관 상피에서만 발현되는 GI-GPx로 알려져 있으며, GPx3는 신장에서 분비되어 혈액 내로 방출됩니다.
GPx4는 대부분의 조직에서 발현되며, 막 내 또는 LDL 내의 인지질 과산화물을 환원할 수 있습니다.
모든 포유류 GPx 단백질은 활성 부위에 selenocysteine을 포함하지만, 일부 isoform(GPx3, GPx5)은 cysteine을 포함합니다.
