For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The PLAU gene encodes a serine protease involved in extracellular matrix degradation and may play a role in tumor cell migration and proliferation.
A polymorphism in this gene has been linked to late-onset Alzheimer’s disease and altered fibrin-binding affinity.
PLAU converts plasminogen to plasmin by specific cleavage of an Arg-Val bond. Plasmin then cleaves PLAU at a Lys-Ile bond to form a two-chain derivative (HMW-uPA), which can be further processed into LMW-uPA.
LMW-uPA remains proteolytically active but does not bind to the uPA receptor.
Alternative splicing produces multiple isoforms.
