Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The tumor suppressor protein p53 is a sequence-specific transcription factor activated by cellular stress. It mediates cell cycle arrest or apoptosis in response to DNA damage or nucleotide starvation.
p53 regulates genes such as p21waf1, influencing G1 or G2/M arrest. Structurally, it includes N-terminal transactivation, central DNA-binding, oligomerisation, and C-terminal regulatory domains.
Phosphorylation at Ser15 is crucial for activation and stabilization, while Ser392 phosphorylation is associated with tumor formation.
p53 plays roles in cancer suppression, aging, oxidative stress, and memory-related processes. It is expressed at low levels in normal cells but highly in transformed lines. Mutations in p53 disrupt DNA binding and tumor suppressor activity, contributing to malignancy.
Alterations in the TP53 gene occur as somatic and germline mutations, including in Li-Fraumeni syndrome.
