Target Information
Prolyl hydroxylase 4 (HPH4)는 HIF-alpha를 변형하는 prolyl hydroxylase로, 산소 항상성 유지에 중요한 역할을 하는 단백질 복합체 HIF의 조절에 관여합니다. 정상 산소 조건에서는 prolyl hydroxylase가 HIF-alpha의 특정 prolyl 잔기를 hydroxyproline으로 전환하여 HIF-alpha의 분해를 유도합니다. 저산소 상태에서는 이 반응이 억제되어 HIF가 안정화되고 혈관신생이 증가합니다. Prolyl hydroxylase 4는 세포 내 산소 감지 및 HIF의 proteasomal degradation 경로에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
