Target Information
The WNT gene family encodes secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as cell fate regulation and embryonic patterning.
WNT10A is strongly expressed in promyelocytic leukemia and Burkitt’s lymphoma cell lines, and coexpressed with WNT6 in colorectal cancer cell lines.
Overexpression may contribute to carcinogenesis via activation of the WNT–β-catenin–TCF signaling pathway.
WNT10A and WNT6 genes are located in the chromosome 2q35 region.
