Product Specific Information

MA5-15710 targets CRTC2 in indirect ELISA, FACS, IF, IHC, and WB applications, showing reactivity with Human and Non-human primate samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human CRTC2 expressed in E. coli.
This antibody detects CRTC2 with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 80 kDa.

Target Information

CRTC2, also known as TORC2 (Transducers of Regulated cAMP Response Element-Binding (CREB) 2), along with CRTC1, acts as a potent CREB coactivator. It is exported from the nucleus in a CRM1-dependent manner through phosphorylation-dependent interactions.
CRTC2 phosphorylation and nuclear/cytoplasmic shuttling are key in regulating gluconeogenesis by cAMP.
CRTC2 is expressed in both B and T lymphocytes and abundantly in the thymus, playing a critical role in regulating genes involved in cellular energy metabolism.
CRTC1, a related protein, is essential for energy balance and fertility.
