• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

This gene was identified as an estrogen-responsive gene. Regulation of transcription by estrogen is mediated by the estrogen receptor, which binds to the estrogen-responsive element found in the 5′-flanking region of this gene.
The encoded protein is a tumor-associated antigen expressed at high frequency in various cancers.
Two transcript variants differing in the 5′ UTR, but encoding the same protein, have been identified for this gene.
