Product Specific Information

  • For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

MYADM, a member of the MAL family, is a 322-amino acid protein with seven hydrophobic transmembrane domains and several potential phosphorylation sites. It shares 75.8% sequence identity with mouse in the transmembrane regions. MYADM is associated with differentiation of hematopoietic cells and acute promyelocytic leukemia cells. Its expression is up-regulated in NB4 cells induced by all-trans retinoic acid, while down-regulation inhibits bone marrow colony formation. MYADM may serve as a marker for hematopoietic differentiation and a potential diagnostic, prognostic, or therapeutic target. It is expressed in brain and pancreatic islet cells.
