Target Information
The CCNDBP1 gene product interacts with Grap2, a leukocyte-specific adaptor protein important for immune cell signaling. It also interacts with cyclin D, reducing phosphorylation of the Rb gene product by cyclin D-dependent kinase and inhibiting E2F1-mediated transcription. Additionally, it binds to helix-loop-helix protein E12 and may act as a negative regulator of liver-specific gene expression. Two alternatively spliced variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
