Target Information
FUS/TLS, originally described as fused in sarcoma, is involved in multiple cellular processes and linked to several diseases. It binds DNA (single or double strand) and serves as a recognition site for transcription factors. Dysregulation of FUS is associated with liposarcoma, lipoma, leukemia, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), where disruption of RNA-binding functions leads to neuronal pathology. Proper regulation of FUS is essential for maintaining healthy cellular function.
