Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) is a protein tyrosine kinase involved in cytokine receptor signaling and is mutated in polycythemia vera.
This kinase contains the catalytic domain (JH1) of JAK2. Activation of JAKs leads to phosphorylation of STAT proteins, which dimerize and translocate to the nucleus to regulate gene transcription.
JAK2 is essential for IFN gamma-receptor complex initiation, while JAK1 acts as an amplifier.
Mutations in JAK2 are associated with Budd-Chiari syndrome, polycythemia vera, thrombocythemia, myelofibrosis, and acute myelogenous leukemia.
