Target Information
NIBP (TRAPPC9) is a 1246-amino acid intracellular regulatory protein that interacts with NIK and IKKβ, but not with IKKα or IKKγ. It acts as a novel enhancer of cytokine-induced NF-κB signaling. Due to its neuronal expression, NIBP is considered a potential target for modulating NF-κB signaling in neuronal pathologies associated with abnormal pathway activation. NIBP is mainly expressed in brain, muscle, heart, and kidney.
