NDUFA9 (NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] 1 alpha subcomplex subunit 9, mitochondrial) is also known as NDUFS2L or CI-39kD and belongs to the complex I NDUFA9 subunit family.
It plays a key role in stabilizing the junction between membrane and matrix arms of complex I, which is critical for complex I biogenesis and activity.
