Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)는 세포 증식, 분화, 세포사멸과 관련된 퍼옥시다아제 계열 단백질입니다. 약 50여 종의 아이소폼이 존재하며, 활성 부위에 시스테인 잔기를 포함한 아미노 말단 서열의 상동성에 따라 분류됩니다. 포유류 Prx는 typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, 1-Cys Prx의 세 그룹으로 나뉘며, 대부분 thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, NADPH를 이용하는 thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase(TPx) 활성을 가집니다. 분자량은 20–30 kDa이며, Prx I, II, VI는 세포질, Prx III는 미토콘드리아, Prx IV는 ER 및 분비계, Prx V는 과산화소체, 미토콘드리아, 세포질 등 다양한 위치에 존재합니다.
