Target Information
Lyl-1, TAL1, and TAL2 are members of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) protein family implicated in T-cell acute leukemia. TAL1 (also known as SCL) is a serine phosphoprotein transcription factor regulating embryonic hematopoiesis. TAL2 participates in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia through chromosomal translocation with T-cell receptor β chain genes. Lyl-1 (lymphoblastic leukemia-derived sequence 1) is a nuclear protein forming heterodimers with E2α proteins, exhibiting unique DNA-binding properties in hematolymphoid cells. Lyl-1 is associated with chromosomal aberrations leading to T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL).
