Target Information
Monoclonal Anti-Titin antibody is used for studying elastic filaments within sarcomeric structures. It serves as a differentiation marker to distinguish rhabdomyosarcomas from other muscle tumors.
By indirect immunofluorescence, the antibody shows a striated staining pattern on frozen sections of chicken skeletal and cardiac muscle tissues, staining the A-I junction region.
In electron micrographs, it decorates a line approximately 0.05 μm from the end of the A band.
In immunoblotting of chicken breast muscle extracts, the antibody reacts specifically with both bands of the titin doublet and shows no reaction with nebulin.
