Antibody 37-3800 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry analysis of LRP1 in mouse E16.5 frozen lung sections.
Target Information
The LRP1 protein functions as an endocytic receptor involved in cellular signaling, lipid homeostasis, and clearance of apoptotic cells. It is required for A2M-mediated clearance of secreted amyloid precursor protein and beta-amyloid, key components of amyloid plaques in Alzheimer’s disease. Expression decreases with age and is reduced in brain tissue from Alzheimer patients.
