Target Information
MAPK1 (ERK2) is a serine/threonine kinase acting as an activator of p90 RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, involved in the MAPK pathway.
MAP kinases (ERKs) integrate multiple biochemical signals and regulate cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation, and development.
Activation requires phosphorylation by upstream kinases, and upon activation, ERK2 translocates to the nucleus to phosphorylate nuclear targets.
