Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
TET3 is a member of the ten-eleven-translocation (TET) family of genes and functions as a methylcytosine dioxygenase, catalyzing the conversion of methylcytosine to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine. It is most abundantly expressed in hematopoietic cells. Unlike TET2, mutations in TET3 have not been observed in myeloid malignancies. TET3 is involved in the demethylation of zygotic DNA before the first mitosis and plays a role in epigenetic reprogramming of paternal DNA following fertilization. It may also contribute to somatic cell nuclear reprogramming during animal cloning.
