Product Specific Information
In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse CD200 is observed.
Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily containing two immunoglobulin domains. It is broadly expressed on cell surfaces and interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells, playing a role in inhibiting macrophage activation. Homologues exist in various herpesviruses and poxviruses. CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and delivers inhibitory signals to macrophage lineages across tissues. Multiple alternatively spliced variants exist.
Diseases associated with CD200 dysfunction include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
