Product Specific Information

This antibody recognizes human CD20, a B-lymphocyte-specific membrane protein involved in regulating cellular calcium influx required for B-cell development, differentiation, and activation.

Target Information

CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, as well as a subset of T lymphocytes and follicular dendritic cells.
It regulates transmembrane calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation.
CD20 is associated with lipid rafts, with its association intensity influenced by extracellular triggers and BCR aggregation.
Following receptor ligation, CD20 remains on the cell surface even after BCR endocytosis.
Due to its stable surface expression and high presence in B-cell malignancies, CD20 is a valuable target for antibody-mediated B-cell depletion therapies.
Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
