Description:
The eBio1D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells during all developmental stages except terminally differentiated plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II that associates with the BCR, mediating tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Optimal antibody concentration should be titrated for specific assay conditions.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains, expressed on nearly all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. It serves as a key regulator of B cell receptor signaling, lowering the activation threshold and amplifying antigen receptor-mediated responses. Mutations in CD19 can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression is linked to B cell hyperactivity.
