Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This FITC-conjugated, affinity-purified antibody is directed against human ERK1 protein. Cross-reactivity is expected with human, mouse, and rat based on sequence identity of the peptide immunogen. This antibody does not react with the ERK2 isoform.
Target Information
MAPK3 (ERK1) is a serine/threonine kinase that activates p90, RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and plays a role in the MAPK pathway. ERK1 is involved in the regulation of meiosis, mitosis, and post-mitotic functions in differentiated cells.
It is activated by various stimuli such as growth factors, cytokines, virus infection, and G protein-coupled receptor ligands.
Functionally, ERK1 regulates cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, and cell cycle progression in response to extracellular signals.
Activated ERK1 translocates to the nucleus to phosphorylate nuclear targets. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
