Product Specific Information

Target Information
The Betatrophin protein (also known as hepatocellular carcinoma-associated protein TD26) is an adipocyte- and liver-enriched insulin-targeted gene implicated in lipid metabolism by regulating serum triglyceride levels.
It belongs to the angiopoietin-like (ANGPTL) protein family. Betatrophin mRNA levels increase in cold environments and after high-fat diet treatment, while decreasing during fasting, suggesting a role in thermogenesis and energy homeostasis.
