Product Specific Information
- 1 µg/mL of PA5‑77814 was sufficient for detection of ECSOD in 20 µg of HeLa lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti‑rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
- Detects extracellular SOD at approximately 35 kDa.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the vaccinia‑related kinase (VRK) family of serine/threonine protein kinases. It is widely expressed in human tissues and shows increased expression in actively dividing cells such as those in testis, thymus, fetal liver, and carcinomas. The protein localizes to the nucleus and promotes the stability and nuclear accumulation of transcriptionally active p53. It phosphorylates Thr18 of p53, reducing p53 ubiquitination, and may regulate cell proliferation. It also phosphorylates histone, casein, and the transcription factors ATF2 and c‑JUN.
