• In Western blot experiments with 100 ng recombinant Positope™ control protein, detectable signal appears within 15 minutes using chromogenic substrate.
• The Positope™ control protein (53 kDa) includes seven epitope tags: His(C-term), HisG, c-myc, and V5.
• Recommended dilution buffer: TBS with 0.1% Tween-20 and 1% nonfat dry milk.

The V5 epitope tag is derived from the P and V proteins of the paramyxovirus SV5. It is typically used in its full 14 amino acid form (GKPIPNPLLGLDST), but shorter 9 amino acid versions (IPNPLLGLD) are also utilized.
