Target Information
Bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU, 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine) is a synthetic nucleoside analogue of thymidine.
BrdU is used to detect proliferating cells by incorporation into newly synthesized DNA during the S phase.
Detection requires DNA denaturation (acid or heat treatment) to expose incorporated BrdU for antibody binding.
